Attorney Bernadette Gonzales, born and raised in North Denver, is honored to come full circle and serve the community she has always been a part of. Bernadette attended school locally at St. Catherine of Siena. She went to Marycrest and Ranum High Schools before earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting at Metropolitan State College of Denver. After starting a family and getting some real–life experience under her belt, she went on to earn her Juris Doctor at the University of Denver College of Law.
Following law school, Ms. Gonzales served as a law clerk for a District Court Judge in the 17th Judicial District, Adams County. She has been in private practice since 2002.
She has served on the State Access to Justice Commission and the Adams County Access to Justice Commission. She served as a Commissioner on the 17th Judicial District Judicial Performance Commission. She is active in the community as a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She is also a past member of the Colorado Bar, the Denver Bar, the Adams Broomfield Bar, and the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar.
In 2015, Bernadette moved her practice to its current location at Colfax and Carr in Lakewood. She is the recipient of the Adams County Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award. She and her 5280 FAMILY LAW team pride themselves on providing top-notch legal services, both traditional and unbundled, at affordable prices to families all over the Denver Metropolitan area.
